After spending an hour and a half on
the phone with tech support yesterday I convinced them that the
Official Weekend Pundit Main Computer's monitor was indeed
malfunctioning, they decided that it needed to be replaced (under
warranty, of course). I received confirmation via e-mail today that a
'new' monitor is on its way. (By new, they mean a reconditioned
monitor. If I had to guess the 'new' monitor probably had the same
problem and they've since upgraded the firmware for the
microcontroller that runs the monitor.)
Since I'm too cheap..uh...frugal
to spend any more money on something I already own, I declined their
offer to ship it overnight or second day for a not-so-small fee. I'm
willing to wait a few extra days for it to arrive.
