Just when you think they couldn't get any stupider...
Yet another example of how zero-tolerance policies are a tool of the lazy and/or incompetent has presented itself, in this case in the form of 13-year old Jonathan Turley, who was suspended from his school because he was “twirling his pencil in a weapons-like manner.”
My first reaction was “WTF?!!”
How does someone twirl a pencil such that someone thinks it's done in a “weapons-like manner”?
The school superintendent and any other official involved with this debacle should be fired. The level of stupidity shown in this matter goes beyond all reason and the people involved should be shown for the politically correct buffoons they are.
All these zero-tolerance policies do is hurt the innocent and make school officials look like idiots.
