It appears we've had a bit of a
networking problem here at The Manse.
Deb's computer has stopped
communicating with the outside world and I've been delving into the
problem. What I thought would be a job that I could quickly wrap up
has turned into a three hour nightmare. Her machine now communicates
with our router, but not beyond that. I've checked cables, rebooted
her machine and the router, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, and
a host of other things, but nothing works. The only thing I haven't
tried has been another NIC because I don't happen to have one handy
(her machine has an integrated NIC on the motherboard).
Isn't owning computers fun?
