Friedman On Socialized Medicine

Here's a video of Milton Friedman talking about the poor economics of socialized medicine as well as its other downsides and weaknesses. Call it prescient because Friedman was talking about it back in 1978.



Between the broken promises made, bureaucratic overhead (and incompetence), higher costs, lower quality of care, and artificial shortage of care, socialized medicine fails on all fronts. The truths of socialized medicine apply just as much to ObamaCare, which is a bastardized version of socialized medicine with even higher costs, less care, and an overreaching bureaucracy incapable of doing anything more than denying care and pissing through even more money we don't have.
